We build technology that is usable by everybody, by optimizing for disability first.

Our technology operates quietly in the background, present only when needed. For people with disabilities, the goal isn't more technology—it's more independence and autonomy.

A note from our founder

The story of Lotus begins with me. Born with twisted knees, I’ve spent my life on and off crutches.

One night, I climbed into bed, exhausted, only to realize I’d left the lights on. Too tired to get up, I slept with them on—and woke up tired and frustrated.

That morning, it struck me: if even an Apple engineer like me didn’t have smart home tech at home, who did?

Our Team

Founded in 2021, Lotus has since grown to be a passionate group of experts in engineering, healthcare, disability, and design. We are a California-based technology company, on a mission to shape the future (and status quo) of consumer hardware.
